Great Tips for Using Balloons at Your Next Party

Balloons are an excellent way to spruce up any party. They are colorful, kids love them and they don't cost much. The most common types of balloons are mylar and latex balloons. You can also purchase a kit with a helium tank and fill them yourself. Kits generally come with a tank, 50 colored latex balloons and ribbons and can usually be purchased at K-mart, Walmart or party stores.

You can use balloons as centerpieces to decorate your tables. Depending on how much you can afford to spend, you can purchase pre made balloon weights or make your own. To make your own weights all you need is sand and foil wrap. You can also put a balloon on each chair. If you plan in advance, you can buy personalized latex balloons.

A great way to give out party favors is to package three or four ounces of candy treats in a bag and wrap it with foil wrap.
Use the candy as a weight to hold down the balloon. When the party is over give each child a balloon and candy favor.

Another great idea for a kids party is to hire an experienced balloon sculptor. A good balloon sculptor can make balloon animals, hats and keep the party rolling for quite awhile. This is only recommended for children three and up due to the chocking hazards of balloons. Make sure no uninflated or popped balloons are left around.

If you are planning a pool party don't forget the fun of water balloons. Most toy stores and Walmart stores will carry water balloon hose nozzles that make it easier for kids to fill their own balloons.

You can come up with many ways for using balloons to add that extra pop, pardon the pun. Balloons are a great way to celebrate any occasion.
