Easter Egg Bread
This recipe is a bit tricky but the bread is absolutely
delicious with butter and is a Family Favorite.
Makes about 5 Loaves
Mix Together: 5 Eggs 1 cup Crisco 2 1/2
cups sugar 1 pinch of salt 3 yeast
packages 5 Lb Bag of Flour |
Scald: 3 cups
milk then add: 2 Cups water 2 teaspoons
Vanilla | Work all
together until dough doesn't stick to hands. Let Raise 2
hours, Punch down, shape and let raise again.
When you shape it split dough into pans sprayed with
pam. Brushing Top with egg Yolk will give it a shiny
appearance.
Notes (Recap): Mix well with Flour, (eggs,
sugar, salt, yeast, and Vanilla).
Mix scalded milk, water and Crisco together and add
to other ingredients. Work it together. Knead - Let
Rise Punch down - Let rise and then bake.
Bake 375 25-30 minutes (or less)
